Whether you’re looking for a deep dive into the natural world, a wander through a historic "Hullywood" film set, or a relaxing day by the marina, Hull is a city of surprising contrasts. Proudly named one of National Geographic's "Best Places in the World to Visit in 2026," this maritime city combines 800 years of seafaring history with a vibrant, modern cultural energy.

Discover the sights of Hull -

  • The Deep (Entry Included): Start your day at one of the UK’s most spectacular aquariums. Housed in an iconic "submarium" building overlooking the Humber estuary, you’ll journey through 4 billion years of ocean history. Walk through Europe's deepest viewing tunnel, ride the glass lift through the main tank, and get face-to-face with sharks, rays, and the resident colony of Gentoo penguins.

  • The Museums Quarter: Step back in time in the atmospheric Old Town. Best of all, most museums here are free! Explore the Streetlife Museum to walk down 1940s high streets and board vintage trams, or visit Wilberforce House, the birthplace of the famous abolitionist, to learn about Hull’s pivotal role in the fight against slavery.

  • Hullywood & Cobbled Streets: Wander the winding, cobbled lanes of the Old Town, which are so well-preserved they are frequently used as filming locations for major period dramas. Keep an eye out for the "Fish Trail", a unique piece of public art consisting of 41 life-sized fish etched into the pavement across the city.

  • Marina & Fruit Market: Head to the revitalized Humber Street for a taste of Hull’s modern side. Once the centre of the city's wholesale fruit trade, it is now a bustling hub of independent galleries, quirky boutiques, and trendy eateries overlooking the sleek yachts in the Marina.

  • Maritime Grandeur: Marvel at the architecture of Hull Minster, one of the largest parish churches in England, and take a selfie in Queen Victoria Square, surrounded by the grand facades of the City Hall and the Maritime Museum.
