Course Description

This session will provide an introduction to the coins used during the four centuries of Roman rule in Britain, together with the events, emperors, and usurpers that shaped them. We will also consider how coins were used and how we can decipher and identify them, using a handling collection allowing access to a variety of interesting, genuine Roman coins.
