Detailed Description

We invite you to join us in Brazil in January for a three-day workshop that promotes, connects, and disseminates Southern Hemisphere-focused Holocene sea-level research. The event will address critical questions such as rates of pre-anthropogenic sea-level change, the timing of the initiation of modern rates of sea-level rise, the timing and amplitude of the mid-Holocene highstand, and the contributions of different driving mechanisms. Key themes will include paleoenvironmental proxies, geochronological methods, databases, spatiotemporal modelling, and GIA modelling. Ultimately, the workshop aims to build a stronger, more connected research community dedicated to advancing understanding of Holocene sea-level change in the Southern Hemisphere.
