Detailed Description
A copy of an original probate file will include an image of the original will/administration and any additional probate documents (such as the bond and inventory) where they have survived. For wills and administrations before 1600 the survival rate is very poor. Inventories are most likely to have survived between approximately 1680-1730.
Original probate bundles often require Conservation assessment before they can be supplied which may increase the time required to complete an order.
Where an original probate file does not survive we can only supply a registered copy of the will/administration.
