What makes (morally) good things good? What makes (morally) bad things bad? Do these questions even make sense? This course will explore these questions. We will understand the nature of the problem and discuss some proposed solutions. For example, does goodness reduce to some other property (e.g. making people happier) or is ‘goodness’ subjective?
