Course Description

This session will introduce the ‘sociological imagination’ and explain how it is applied to such subjects as health (physical and mental), crime, violence, psychotherapy, and sexuality. The sociological imagination incorporates ideas and methods from many other academic disciplines (for example, philosophy, anthropology, politics, social psychology, and economics) with the aim of both understanding society and changing it for the better.
