Philosophy of mind concerns the nature of minds/consciousness. We might think that, if we are anything, we are our minds. But what is a mind? Some theories say the mind is an immaterial substance, some say the mind is just the brain, others say consciousness does not exist and yet others say that consciousness is everywhere. This course will explore this question and how it has been addressed throughout history, and provide the skills and tools to assess answers.
