Course Description

The Norman baron William de Percy received vast territories in northern England from William the Conqueror. Throughout the Middle Ages, his descendants have played major roles in the history of the country. This one-day course will study the participation of the members of the House of Percy in significant political and military events from the eleventh to the fifteenth centuries, as well as their social and cultural influence in the north of England.
