Course Description

Jerusalem is considered the holy city for the three monotheistic religions and is one of the most iconic cities in the world. In this short course, we will explore the artistic history of the city from the Roman period to the end of the Ottoman rule. We will examine the last remains of the Roman age, with particular emphasis on the most celebrated Holy Temple, the presence of the Crusaders in the area and the arrival of Muslims.
