Course Description

This course will explore the challenges of global environmental sustainability in the current context of the climate crisis through the lens of installation art, performance art, participatory art, socially engaged art, site-specific works of art, and activist art. Artists address environmental issues in their artistic practices and support the transformation to sustainability. The course will consider artworks that invite audiences to touch, taste, smell, and hear, to experience through their senses the tangible effects of global warming.
