Course Description

York has long been famous for its many pubs. These have historically been economically, socially, and culturally important to the city’s community and to visitors. Join us for a few fun hours to learn about the role of pubs, inns, and taverns to York’s local history, using a selection of case studies. Through them, we learn not just about pubs but about the history of York, and the history of alcohol in England.
