Course Description

What are fossils? How do they form? And where can we find them? In this half-day class, palaeontologist Dr Liam Herringshaw will introduce the fascinating science of palaeontology, its origins and some of the latest ideas. With specimens to examine, you'll learn about some of the common types of fossil, and where  in the UK you might see them. No previous experience with palaeontology is required, but an interest in geology, biology or natural history would be useful.
