Course Description

This course will provide an introduction to human rights law in the UK and how it affects our everyday lives. It will include critical engagement with topical and sometimes contentious dilemmas through a human rights lens, such as areas of work, family, health, and education. Sessions will include interactive and group activities, discussing key human rights issues. We will also look briefly at the history of human rights and civil liberties in the UK. No prior legal knowledge is required.
