Course Description

How is a selfie different from a self-portrait? What makes a photograph a document? Is Photoshop manipulation new? The history of photography already spans more than a century and a half and one is likely to think digital cameras, smartphones, and digital manipulation software like Adobe Photoshop have surely reshaped the practice of photography. But have they? Does photography have new things to say on the topic of the city, the self, and the family album?
