We are pleased to announce the twelfth annual conference RCTs in the Social Sciences. The conference will be an opportunity for delegates to share expertise, interests and concerns about conducting trials in all fields of social sciences.

Course Description

The Conference will open on Wednesday 6th September and close on Friday 8th September. The registration fee includes lunch and refreshments on both days. The conference dinner will be held on Wednesday evening and this is extra to the booking fee.

The Conference will include one keynote and two invited presentations and contributed presentations on all aspects of randomised trials in the social sciences. 

A workshop will be run on 8th September from 9.00 - 1.00pm. 

The conference aims to:

  • facilitate sharing and collaboration between academic disciplines in this area
  • discuss the methodological, practical and ethical challenges of undertaking trials in the social sciences.

The conference workshop will be organised by Professor Carole Torgerson (Chair in Education, Durham University) and Dr Ben Styles (Research Director - Statistician, National Foundation for Educational Research).
