Course Description

The objective of the day is to prepare clinicians working in primary and urgent care with the essential skills and information to manage common skin problems and to identify 'red flags' which require referral.

The content of the day will include:

  • history taking related to skin conditions
  • terminology related to skin conditions
  • physical examination of the integumentary sytem
  • discussion of skin problems commonly seen in primary and urgent care
  • identification of 'red flags' which require referral.

At the end of the day you will have the ability to:

  • take a focused dermatological history
  • perform an examination of integumentary system
  • diagnose and treat commonly presenting skin problems
  • identify 'red flags' in dermatology which require referral to meeical or specialist practitioners.

Funded places are available to employees of NHS trusts and primary care staff within Yorkshire and the Humber. We therefore do not charge when you book your place, but will contact you should you not meet the required criteria for a funded place. Non funded places are charged at £100.00, payable in advance.
