Course Description

Content of the day includes:

  • anatomy and physiology of the lower leg and foot
  • the use of ABPI's in diagnosis and treatment of leg and foot problems
  • theories associated with compression bandage therapy
  • practical application of compression bandaging
  • practical measurement of ABPI's.

The objectives of the day are to:

  • understand the principles and function of sustained compression bandage therapy
  • acquire the skills necessary for the safe application of compression bandages
  • understand the principles of Doppler assessment, calculation and interpretation of results.

Funded places are available to employees of NHS trusts and primary care staff within Yorkshire and the Humber. We therefore do not charge when you book your place, but will contact you should you not meet the required criteria for a funded place. Non funded places are charged at £100.00, payable in advance.
