Course Description

Gothic fiction is one of the most enduring and popular modes within literature and film. From Wuthering Heights and Great Expectations to Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Gothic fiction engulfs British cinema, TV and best-seller lists. This module will discuss Gothic literature as the Western centre of sexual, psychological and social debate throughout the centuries, aiming to develop both creative and critical writing skills. All writers and readers welcome.
