Course Description

This module poetry will appeal to poets who may be looking to create a body of themed poetry that might be considered for a pamphlet. Currently there is a return to pamphlet writing and pamphlet competitions - Michael Marks Award, Flarestack, The Poetry Business, Templar, Cinnamon, Happenstance and Eyewear all produce pamphlets for new poets. Experienced poets may use the module to build on their poetry writing, experimenting with forms and themes with a view to working toward a pamphlet publication. Less experienced poets will gain experience in the mechanisms of writing poetry through exposure to contemporary poets and their work. This is an exciting module that holds at its centre a commitment to enlarging the scope and purpose of your writing.
