Course Description

The nations of northern Europe have long possessed their own rich musical cultures, but only relatively recently have these cultures begun to arouse global interest; from Sibelius to Sigur Rós, the art that has emerged from these distinctive landscapes has proved captivating. Led by three postgraduates with research interests in this area, this course will explore the sheer diversity - and, indeed, some of the unifying features - of the art that has emerged from countries in the Nordic and Baltic regions.
