Course Description

What was life like in medieval England? How did people make their living? What did they eat and drink? What entertainment did they have? How healthy were they? What clothes did they wear? Did they travel much? This course aims to answer these and other similar questions, by exploring everyday life in fourteenth-century England. It will study the medieval English landscape, its law, and its people through reading and analysing contemporary documents.
