Case studies will include Giovanni Belzoni, Howard Carter, the British Museum, and recent setbacks at the Cairo Museum. We will discuss famous artefacts (such as mummies, treasures and statues) alongside lesser-known objects, and survivals from day-to-day life in ancient Egypt.
